The International Youth Environmental Competition (IYEC) is an annual event dedicated to inspiring and empowering youth to take action on environmental and climate issues. This competition unites passionate young innovators from around the world to share ideas and projects addressing local environmental challenges with effective solutions.
Open to young advocates and researchers from all backgrounds and experience levels worldwide.

Cool Hyderabad is an eco-friendly initiative led by youth to address urban heat and climate change through mass tree plantations in Hyderabad. By planting 100,000 trees and involving the community, the project promotes sustainability, improves air quality, and raises environmental awareness among students, volunteers, and the general public.

Project: "Turning the Tides: Restoring Coastal Paradise from Pollution's Grip"
Da Nang's breathtaking beaches face serious environmental threats such as plastic waste and marine pollution. Microplastics are devastating marine life and contaminating seafood. By adopting sound environmental practices, improving waste management, restoring original habitats, and rallying communities to action, the team is working to save Da Nang's natural beauty and its essence.

Project: "The Inconsistent Perception Between Travel Experience and Environmental Awareness: The Ban on Free Single-Use Toiletries in Taiwan"
In 2025, Taiwan implemented a tourism-related regulation banning disposable plastic amenities in hotels and B&Bs. This project explores public perceptions of environmental protection versus hospitality expectations, aiming to find a balance between sustainability and guest experience.

Project: "Earth Z- Wildfire Solutions"
Earth Z develops an AI system backed by real past and current data to detect areas of high fire risk, using datasets from NOAA and other sources. The team collected their own machine learning data to train the model, ensuring accuracy by correlating inputs with confirmed fire incidents.
